What is the procedure for commissioning a portrait by Ron Lesser?
 
Who will be the subject of your painting?
If you are having your children painted, you need to decide if they will sit alone or as a group.
Individual portraits are charming and are reasonably  priced. Groups are more expensive, but they fulfill a wonderful documentation of your children's relationship with one another.
 
Where will the painting be installed?
In an office, a living room, a lobby, a formal sitting room?  Answers to these questions will help you determine the clothing & setting.
 
How does a "contemporary portrait sitting" work?
Upon an agreement as to price etc, Ron Lesser will travel to your desired location (if necessary) for a photographic sitting. Portrait sittings are always scheduled at your convenience. If you do not have the time for this and can provide a proper photograph Ron will make a determination if the photo is good enough to make your portrait.
 
How much does an original portrait cost?
Every portrait is priced according to figure size and complication, ie, head and shoulders are less expensive than a complete figure. It is important to note that when a price is quoted it is for the artwork only. Extra charges may be incurred for travel, crating & shipping and insurance for the finished work.
 
Ron Lesser paints in oil on panel.  Wood panel is as traditional as canvas.
 
By request Ron Lesser will paint posthumous portraits from a quality photograph.
